XANALINKS

A xanalink is not embedded or hierarchical, like links in HTML.  Here is a sample.

The xanalink is a free-standing table identifying or relating content, telling the client what

• relations
• properties
• structures
• connections
• assemblies
• arrangements

to apply to that content.

A TABLE OF CONNECTIONS

A xanalink can connect one or many spans, pages or documents.  There are many types of xanalink (not currently documented).

A xanalink file is a table of connection.  A xanalink is for many reasons a separate file.  For instance, the same xanalink may be used in more than one EDL, while retaining its original identity.

Xanalinks have facets, or connections with specific meanings (not in the current demonstration).
